Not trying to threadjack, but I cut mine down as well and painted it satin black. I ordered the new one from CAI, but not sure I will use it. They said you could lose some horsepower by modifying the original one. I dont know, I ended up with just over 600 RWHP.

Looks great! Yeah I really prefer the look of the one piece. If we're giving up 3 or 4 hp I doubt we'll notice. I see you painted your throttle body. I was thinking of polishing mine but I'm not sure yet. Did you go with a zl1 pump as well?

Yes I installed a ZL1 pump. I'm trying to keep with a red theme under the hood. I have some covers from Showstoppers coming soon that I hope will tie it all in. Your gonna love the new power, it changes the car. I doubt I would notice the power as well.

None of it was extremely difficult if your pretty mechanically inclined. The instructions that it came with (thanks Jessika at supercharger connection) were very good and the kit is very well engineered and thought out.
I did have to make a couple of modifications such as the aforementioned CAI tube and also had to extend the holes where the heat exchanger pipes came through on the bottom. Tips: Have a friend help you, there's a couple of spots where having an extra set of hands helps (installing the heat exchanger and lifting the supercharger into place). Also, have an impact gun with a 6 sided 24mm socket for removing the balancer. If you decide to do this, pm me and I'd be glad to walk you through it. Also, I recommend soldering the wire connections to the IAT instead of using the provided crimp connectors. Mine were making intermittant connection and throwing an IAT code so I hardwired them.

Nice! Please post a pic of that cover when you get it. I'm reworking mine right now but I'd love to see some other ideas.
