strong throttle dead spot/bucking

Hey guys,

my 2014 1LE sat in the garage for December and when I brought it back up to central texas my xpipe slipped off of my longtubes on one side some how. Got it to the shop and pushed the exhaust back on an tightened the clamps back on. however while the exhaust leak was present and now still after I noticed a huge dead spot around 20-40% throttle with heavy hesitation like I can hold it and it hits a brick wall and power intermittently comes back on like a sputter but completely throttle or ignition related. Car has 35K miles and closest thing I can relate this to is as if my opti spark is intermittently working on my old lt1. once you go past the 40% throttle power comes back on hard with no hesitation whatsoever. car idles perfect.

car has a bo white ported throttle body and full stainless works exhaust.
pat g tune....car ran perfect for over a year until this happened.

could it be the TPS??

Did you get any CEL? Did you have the problem before or after you put on the VTC?

I would Look into the throttle position sensor and the mass air flow sensor for issues. Just to be sure since you had exhaust issue I would look over the oxygen sensors too.

It was not the VTC it was a bad pedal sensor, even before I had the VTC it would do that....no cells were thrown till i added the vtc....
