Gauges on center console??

Did some z28s come with gauges on the center console, or is that an ss center console? I think it looks alright.

They are an easy addition or for that matter removal. You just need the gen5 1SS plug n play harness and you don’t get operation of the trans temp center gauge in the Z28.

Add on; just hit up gen5diy, they have the kit. The trans temp gauge won't work on them in the Z/28s (at least I think it was the trans temp).

The gen5diy site says the gauges won't work with the Z28. Or is it only the trans temp that doesn't work. I could live with that. Besides, all their gauge kits say sold out.

What's a guy to do?

This! Configure your DIC as shown. Coolant gauge is with speedo. It's a minimalist modern vehicle by design, enjoy it as is. No fuzzy dice hanging from the mirror and no stuffed animals on the passenger seat. Spend your hard earned coin on tow hooks, jack pads and a Modem Spare tire kit. You'll thank me in the future.

Hi one of the gauges does not work in the Z/28, and we want you to know upfront, right now GM is on national backorder on the 4 pack gauges that is why we have them as sold out, dont want to take your money and have you on hold.

What Jack pads & spare tire kit do you recommend?

I got the complete spare tire kit from Modern Spare. I have the magnetic jack pads (I use them on both Camaros) from ZL1 Addons.

Is the battery still in it's original place in the trunk under the tire?

Great question...I was wondering the same! Also, are you able to put the cover back on over top the spare?

Yes and yes. The scissor jack and tool kit fit next to the battery and the spacer (needed for the front) I keep in a small box held in place by a rubber bungee strap. The cover sits maybe a 1/2" or so higher but that's no big deal.
