Does pulling the fuse out work with NON-NPP/Dual outlet exhaust??
Any suggestions for aftermarket installs ??
non-npp cars don't have the fuse, or the valves.

as for aftermarket, you cant go wrong with a sweet Borla ATAK or S-Type set up
click on the pic in my signature to hear my car in action

Non NPP does not have a fuse since there are no valves to control.

Most aftermarket manufacturers have exhaust for each type (Non-NPP dual tip and NPP quad tip). I have Borla S-Type. Love them.

Edit: I think Techn9cian805 was reading my mind while I was typing. Else I didn't see his reply. Either way.

Does anyone know how much of a performance gain the NPP exhaust gives on the V8?

I reduces the back pressure and therefore there should be a gain in horse power over the stock 455 HP.

none is specified by GM, but I would assume 5hp or less. or none. the NPP is purely for exhaust sound management, not power.

Can we enable vales functionality with a BORLA exhaust with valves on a non NPP exhaust from factory ?
I am guessing these has to some sort of additional equipment to control the valves right ?

in theory yes. but you will not be able to control it thru the screen or associate the exhaust modes with drive modes like the NPP allows, unless you got the tech skills and money to do it, which in the end, wont be worth it I think.

and yes.

I would definetly get the dual mode exhaust. Worth every penny and it sounds amazing on the v6.

Get the NPP exhaust option and don't look back! You will like it. Trust what everyone is telling you about it. I really like mine! Good luck.

What they said. Thr v6 with NPP sounds really good. It gives it a nice deep rumble without being all raspy like most aftermarket v6 exhaust kits get.
