JUST UPDATED MY BLOCK TO LUNATI RODS , FORGED PISTONS , BUT NO DISHED PISTONS , MY PISTONS STUCK UP A LIL OVER THE DECK , MACHINE SHOP TOLD ME TO RUN A .53 GASKET , I HAVE THE TURBONETICS KIT AND WAS WONDERING IF I RUN LIKE A .100 GASKET IF THAT WILL HELP LOWER MY COMPRESSION AND BE SAFE ?

THANSK FOR YOUR TIME

LSx pistons can ride out of the hole up to .007 I think. Mine are .004 out of the hole using LS9 gaskets (.051 compressed).

You need to know how far out of the hole yours are. What pistons do you have as far as part number goes?

The LS9 gaskets have 7 layers vs. 5 layers so the .003 probably comes from that.

Going from a stock head gasket to a .100 head gasket would lower your compression about 1.2 points (say 10.7 to 9.5).
