I’m still getting used to the amount of power this beast has, haven’t had the balls to turn it off yet. Haha!

I can certainly feel it doing it’s thing when I punch it though. Keeps the car very straight without really cuting too much power. Does a great job of keeping the tail end from coming around too.

When we went driving through the Ozarks last weekend I would not even THINK about turning the PTM off. And looking at some of the in car videos where you can see when it lights up on playback it's a good thing I didn't too.

The system in this car is just amazing. I had no idea how often it was intervening on some tight sections, it really is that smooth and takes away just what is needs to. On the higher track settings like Race 1 it still allowed some slip angle, but not too much. Car was still a lot of fun, never felt like it was trying to shut the party down, just keeping it in check.

But with 710/701 at the wheels... well, let's just say I'm glad to have a very adept co-pilot on board for when the right foot gets a little over exuberant!

It tends to make my heart skip a beat when it kicks on...feels like something broke. It works well.

I’ve driven in PTM race mode often. The car still has surprising grip at full throttle. You just gotta watch it when coming out of corners and hitting it.

I love everything off in an AutoX environment, where the car really can't bite you. Here is a video of the kind of spin you can achieve which would have been avoided in Sport 1 or Sport 2. This was the end of the season and a bunch of us were getting a bit rowdy.

That is the perfect example! I agree, in an autoX setting leave it off and get a feel for the car when there is no safety net. On the street and driving on a fun twisty road however I want them there. Nice to have Big Brother looking over my shoulder when the mistakes count!

Yup. In the video, we were goofing off a bit, but that kind of a spin on the street or on a road course would not have ended well...

If you have everything off and you aren't on a track you better be ready to react at any moment.

I had all nannies off on a back road while I was trying various launch strategies to get this M6-pig off the line. When I was done I forgot to change modes back and my VERY FIRST turn off of the back road on to a main feeder I took off from the stop sign like I do 100x a day and found myself sideways facing oncoming traffic. Caught me nearly completely off guard. I was still spinning tires when I came to my senses and was able to keep composure and do a sloppy drift on to the right side of the road and straighten out. Probably looked amazing and terrifying at the same time from the outside - luckily no one could smell my shorts from other cars.

Had I just turned the nannies off for fun during a standard around-town drive, like I did religiously in my SS, I wouldn't have been paying attention and I would have been t-boned by the oncoming traffic.

I have no need to completely turn off the system on the street, but turning off the traction control (or competitive mode) is good fun. I decided to nail it from a ~20 mph roll last night, while letting the A10 do it's thing. I ended up partially in the oncoming lane. Even after building/owning a handful of 550+ WHP cars, it was pretty awesome.

For the record, I don't recommend trying this unless you have experience controlling a car in this type of situation, or are in a secluded area with nothing to run into. I've had a lot of practice in cars without any electronic safeties, and used to love doing long distance burnouts. I think this car will do a great one.

My experience turning it all off, is it still hooks up pretty good, and you almost have to do something stupid or have something unexpected happen to get into trouble. I definitely play it safe though, and make sure I have plenty of room to slide around without hitting anything, just in case.

That's the only way I'll drive. Only wrecked the car once. Just kidding, but I did have it try to come around on me but I just lifted and it straightened out.
