intake tube only shootout flow testing!

Intake tube shootout! Please go to post 15 for results. I will try to improve upon later with cfm numbers, ect, but if you read into what I wrote you will be able to figure out which is which, I'm trying be be slightly vague for legal purposes, as I have been threatened legally before before after doing independent testing.

I've got one, and I've always been curious about it's quantifiable increase in airflow.
And of course I'd part with it for a few days for the sake of science!

Either way, I'm just waiting for the damn GMPP intake, tune, catch can combo to FINALLY come out. I've talked with my store's accessories rep and OF COURSE they're having issues getting it CARB-certified...

Well... I haven't tried them with the Airbox attached, but so far just tube for tube, mishi beats yours, and both beat stock. Just need to see when brand Z falls between them... And for most accurate results, need to attach to stock Airbox

Sorry guys, I've been sick and haven't left the house since last weekend.

I did complete the testing of the tubes, with a k&n air filter. I think I must have thrown my stock one out, so haven't compared filters.

All of the aftermarket/diy tubes flowed within 3% of each other, the maximum being a 10% increase over stock, with the lowest bring 7% more than stock tube. The oemtech diy option falls right between the two aftermarket options by +1.5% better than the lowest aftermarket tested and -1.5% worse than the highest. So the diy option can be done any maybe save some cash if you're into that, however I am a big fan of silicone and its heat resistance. Therefore the other two being so close together, it's really all up to your personal preference. Do you want some color options and a little more flow? Or do you want to save some $$ and are ok with one color option of the silicone options available.

Good stuff Jason. Thanks for taking the time to do this testing. Makes me glad I got my ZZP intake tube used for a good price.
