It's all about the tail lights?
Now one of the biggest complaints from the Gen 5 refresh (14-15) models was the tail lights. Overall a lot of Camaro fans felt the throwback was not needed and that the Corvette stole the rear lights the Camaro should have gotten.
Overall, it looks like Chevy listened to the community and provided a tail light design that bridged the gap between the original Gen 5, the Gen 5.5 and vette with a new flair here and there. I am going to be honest and say, I really... really... like the new design. As much as I love my 2013 look, it has not aged well in my opinion. The image posted on IG Camaro Performance page highlights the solid red LT model. Now I can't help but wonder how the SS styling of the tail lights will change the appearance overall which has a lot of white and just a little red. But overall it makes me think they took some design direction from the Audi A1.

I seriously doubt they took design direction for the rear lights from Audi when they have the c7 to draw inspiration from

Im deff the oddball on this.
Personally, I feel 14/15>16>10-13. But the new 16s are growing on me and Im sure soon will be prefered to the redesigned ones.

I kind of liked the new design on the 14 and 15's until I saw them in person. But now I look at my 13 and honestly can't stand them and truly feel they will not stand the test of time of being good tail lights. Again, just my opinion.

I like the '15 tail lights. Didn't care for them much at first, but after driving 2 rentals, they really grew on me.
I really like the '16 ones though! |

The 10-13's tail lamps are unique/distinctive imo. Sets the rear of the Camaro apart from almost everything else on the highway.

I don't mind the shape/style of the '16 tail lights, but I don't like that the SS and optional RS tails will be LEDs - just not a big fan of LEDS.

For me, the 16 tail lights are a improvement over the 14 tail lamps in my eyes, not that the 14 lamps look bad either. The 10 - 13 still look nice, aggressive, and more muscular, but they are aging for sure. So for me, the 10 - 13 and the new 16 take the cake.
But that's just the tail lights..... When taking consideration of the entire rear end, the 16 is MUCH better than the 14 rear when you consider how far the rear diffuser comes up, and how plain jane/afterthought the rear diffuser looks on the 14 model. The Z/28 diffuser....is awesome. The V6 and SS....horrible.

The 14-15 lights are horrid.. kill them with fire. The new 16 lights look much better, although I still like the ones on my 2011.
