Thanks.
I believe you can only get Plasti-Dip in red, black, clear and white. I was using it to repair the vinyl stripe (black). All in all, the repair came out good. Just need to wet sand and blend the painted side tomorrow.

I think there's a "dOH!" thread around here:...and I for one have already posted garage door 'L' bracket vs softly painted rear bumper.

I had the same thing happen to me except this happened after my windshield was replaced and Safelight auto glass repairman had put the wipers on backwards. Yes there is a left and right side wiper. I went to pull up on my wiper to change it and SCRATCH! Solution: carbon fiber VIS hood.

No one can yet explain to me the advantage of raising up the wiper
arms & blades. Just leave them down. I've never lifted them once to
clean any of my cars or windshields and I know how to detail a car.

Um, because dirt and stuff actually gets between the blade and glass. that is one of many reasons wipers streak in rain rather than being a clean swipe.

Also to get all of the buildup off of the blades. if you are not cleaning your blades at each wash, you are risking scratching your windshield

Just lift them up an inch or two and wipe the blades and glass to wash.
And if you dry your car, do it again. It's not difficult...

I have done the same thing as well. Unfortunately I haven't gotten around to repairing it yet. Luckily is hasn't scratched down to bare metal so no worries about rust. Could you start a thread about to repair process?
