Anyone with a Jeep RubiconX or regular Rubicon
I'm thinking about ordering one of these two in the next few months or later, and then lift it and put the XD wheels in 17 or 18 so I can put a 33 or 35 in tire like the Nitto or Toyo.So does anyone here have a Rubicon and what are your impressions on the Jeep, and about how much lift would it take to clear those size tires.A suspension lift is better than a body lift is what I've read also, any opinions appreciated. Thanks

I have a 2013 jeep rubicon 4 door and I will have to say after owning jeeps for the last 25 years this one is the best I have owned. The new engine is great! It has plenty of go when you need it and the torque is really great. As far as larger tires and wheels I have done that to the others in the past and always ran a 10 inch wheel and 35 inch tires. That is with a 3 inch suspension lift. Now the rubicon comes with a 4:10 gear so I always changed them to 4:56's because the older inline 6 or even the V6 did not have enough HP to run down the road 65 mph in overdrive with these tires and wheels on. This new engine I cannot say enough about it. Just go drive one and you will see.It is the next best thing to a V8 which would really be awesome but it is the best thing jeep has offered for a power train ever.

Got a 13 here too. 3 inches should do it and the new motor is amazing. Just feels so much better. The old 3.8s werent bad compared to a lot of past jeep motors, but the 3.6 was so worth it.

Traded my 2012 Rubicon for my SS, and miss it terribly. I can pretty much answer any question you have. Just PM me with any question you have.

I have a JK Unlimited Sport but my work car the last two years was a '08 Rubi 2 door. You'll clear 33's stock, some people run 35's with nothing more than a fender trim. 2-3" spring lift with shock extensions will clear 35's no problem and look good too. It honestly depends on your budget! I have to keep telling my wife that it is a Jeep and not some fancy comfy SUV, and it rides like a Jeep for sure. All the gripes that Jeep owners have completely go away that first sunny day when the top's off.
The best JK forum www.jk-forum.com will answer all your questions. I had a Cherokee, then a YJ. I'll never get rid of this one.

Grand Cherokee Limited,Billet Silver,I'm not fond of the steering feel of this SUV though, feels a little loose.Other than that it's roomier than what she traded in.Kids not getting any smaller.
