Street Drags Wheels Set up

Hey, my first post here, i was looking thru the threads and see a lot of people having wider tires for drags, im about to buy a set of tires for drags and street drags.
What would be the best tires i could get Nitto NT05R? Toyo? what size and in which rim size should i mount them?

I want to be sure im getting the sizes ok before i buy and the tires that will help me the most without being one use only.

Thank You

I have a Camaro 2SS 2016

PRAY went 1.58 on the ET Streets. I believe he started at 18 PSI but bumped it up a bit. They were hooking fine.

Do you want to run the tires as a daily street driver, not just drag racing?

Is this the P/N for those race stars? 92-705253

17x10.5x(5x120)

I guess these 17s clear the back brembos just fine. So much cheaper than the Welds.

I went with 17 x 9.5 considering the tire im using. Less rotating mass the better.

Yep they clear just fine.

If you go to the race star website they have a listing of fitment and part numbers. Also if you call them they are super nice and knowledgeable.

We're running the 17x10.5 rears with mt 305/45/17 et street r tires and it fits prefect. We went with the bigger wheel so we have tire room to grow if necessary

Youll have to try it.

The race star wheels and weld wheels are made to fit large brakes. May not clear the brakes...

Installed these MT ET 305.40.18 today and had to move the wire harness and pin the insulation to the well, worked great.
