Adding ZL1 side rockers to non ZL1

We told you some time ago we where working on adding OEM ZL1 side rockers and bumper to non ZL1 cars, i know its more then 1 year after but here is the first part the ZL1 rockers without replacing the fenders, fit is perfect, and after you remove your side rockers its 15 Min of work to add the OEM ZL1 rockers.

You will need the right shim (from us), you will need to drill 2 new holes in the bottom of the fender and 2 new star pop in pins for it to all go on the car, more info soon on how to do it but in the mean time here is a pic of it on my 2.0T car.

Love it do the GM rockers come glossy black from the factory or unpainted?

There unpainted, don't forget you need to paint the upper 1/2 body color to.

Here is how we did it.

After you remove the SS side rocker, you remove the bolt closer to the wheel opening at the bottom of the fender , then you loosen the 2nd bolt 3-5 turns or so.

Now install the black shim we made, thin part goes in the the bolt that we only loosened, now you will need a longer bolt for the one you removed, it need to be 40mm longer then the one your replacing, gently turn the bolts in all the way down, that part is done.

Next, time to drill the 2 new holes in the fender, this is done where it want be seen next to 2 other factory holes, use our template so you get them where we know they go, with that done its time to mod the new clips you will need to mount the side rocker.

You will need to remove the two yellow clips from the front, there are 3 clips but the last one does not need to be removed, next we will send you 2 (per side) new clips that go in place of the yellow clips, and that's it for now.

Will you be selling the shim (etc.) kit separate or only with a set of OEM rockers? Also, did you guys finalize the spacer kit you were working on to get the front ZL1 fascia to line up with the narrower non-ZL1 front fenders? Keep up the great work!

Ordered all the hardware today to make 40 kits, will be in next week and look for the kit to be on line end of the week.

Parts are in and we are moding them for fit, hold out its coming, why dot you guys help out with a name to use, so you can find it on our site.
