BMP-1LE's New Ride
For my 40th birthday I wanted to get a car, but not just any car. After many years of not having a sports car I truly missed the culture that surrounds having a sports car, the research on the right model, the maintenance /detailing, the meets and the sheer thrill of driving. I owned S2000's for many years and then got hooked on the Jeep JK hobby but truly missed driving a well handling powerful machine.
While looking at a used Scat Pack Challenger at the Chevy dealer a 2 SS Camaro was parked in the next spot. I could not believe the overall size difference between the two. After seeing the two together, I decided on the 1LE package Camaro SS. The added features of the package and overall performance really sold me. I went home and looked at the dealers inventory and saw a Hyper Blue 1LE in Transit. It had the color I wanted and the black bowtie option. It was too good to be true. After only 2 visits and a few phone calls we settled on a price. Part of my deal was the dealer was not to touch the car cosmetically (all mechanical prep was completed of course) I did not want hokey pins stripes or door edge guards; not sure why dealers still play this game. They also could not mount the front plate frame , wash or remove the interior plastics- this was a deal breaker. Dealer thought I was nuts and the manager asked me a few times "sure I can't give it a bath for you?" - No thanks Deal went well and drove it home to 2 days of washing, waxing and just staring at the car. First look - First Wash / foam bath After two days of cleaning (my matte hood had issues, might have been in transport or bird droppings, I may replace it with a satin hood wrap) |

Looks nice, check out Adam's matte hood spray. It did wonders to making my wrap look better on my 1LE.

Congrats OP!!! Love the hyper blue. I chose red, but that blue is sweet!! Don't worry about the dealer thinking your crazy. I told my salesperson the same thing. Don't touch a darn thing, hahah!! I was fortunate my sales guy was a car enthusiast that owned a z06 so he u derstood where I was coming from. Put about three signs all over the car so no one would touch it, lol!!

Love that color. I like it without the hood wrap better. What was the part number on those splash guards?
