I have a dremel and a thousand accessories but it seems to fall apart, get loose, require tiny collet pieces, etc. It seems like so much trouble to me. Maybe I need to watch some instructional videos but all the different attachment platforms are too much for me.

Cool. Take your time and do whats comfy for you. I promise ya its well worth it and easier than you think. Keep a steady hand no matter what tool ya use and just be confident. Youll get it

I went to my friend's shop (who says angle grinder with a Metabo cutting wheel,) and this was up on one of his racks. He bought it for $2000 from a widow. The motor is seized but everything is original: 41,000 miles. He's putting a motor in it.

Excuse the necro-bump, but are these wheels sufficient? Probably gonna do this on Saturday as long as vents come in as expected.

This is what i used. Blades lock in tight and it's a quick easy swap out for new blades.

Its possible to use them..i just dont know how thick/tough they are. So i cant say for sure how many you will need. Its also a matter of how steady your hand is while cutting too.

I used the ones posted below you in the original post so i can vouch for those.

I will say though, if you find a metal cutting disc, stay away from those. Metal disc with diamond coating.

In my opinion, safety glasses are a MUST with both of those Dremel wheels. When they fall apart, pieces fly towards your eyes.

Where do the holes on the bottom open up to dump water on the 6? I'd assume on the 8 they didn't put anything below it that would be at all water sensitive...is the 6 the same way?

Pretty much the ooen area between the engine and radiator.

Ive driven through rain, severe rain, snow, sleet, freezing rain and zero issues.

I just ordered some too. Thanks. I've always loved this look and before this post I wasn't sure if I could have it on my LT.
