Why has this Forum turned into a "Warranty Problem Q & A"???

Avoid Troubleshooting Questions - The bottom line is that this exchange is not intended for general troubleshooting questions. There is a wealth of knowledge here on the forum. Odds are good that if you have an issue with your car, and you or your dealer/mechanic can’t figure it out: someone here has..........

What you're quoting is not relevant to the question of the transmission issue. This is not a general troubleshooting question. It is in reference to a known manufacturing defect for which a TSB has been issued. This issue was present on numerous vehicles from users on this forum, including my own. A response on this issue as to its origins and engineering justification for its solution would put a lot of us at ease.

This is a question of owner confidence in the long term reliability and drive-ability of our vehicles. If anything, this question will border on unanswerable because it will require the release of some proprietary information known only to team Camaro and their transmission manufacturing & design team. But, it's still possible that they can give us a useful answer that will benefit many users on this forum. I'm confident that this can be done because I deal with supplier quality often and there are ways to make your customers understand and empathize with problems that inevitably occur. Lessons learned and corrective actions are key.

I would argue that some of the questions asked are somewhat trivial such as How can I be better at driving a manual transmission? or How do I setup a race car for a track that I will never actually drive on? Of course I've intentionally misquoted those questions to create hyperbole, but it supports my point.

...better question is, why have you turned into a habitual complainer?

I totally agree. But IMHO this specific forum, has strayed from its intended purpose, (they really need a separate TSB Q&A related forum).

But they(GM) also have to remove the GM Legal Team and Private Ambulance Chaser Atty's from the equation.

The Ask Al O Forum should be limited to Gen6 Engineering/Design related and GM Drag Performance related questions.

Consider it part of the growing pains of this section...

The Launch Control and A8 questions had huge interest, lots of pressure, and we discussed the possibility of the exception to the rule with the Camaro team.

After this poll is over and the A8 question answered...we will resume regularly-scheduled programming; which will be more questions like ZL1 settings, cameras, and hugger orange. Neat, little behind-the-scenes stuff with no agenda.

We do not intend to include any more troubleshooting questions after this poll. Those belong in your dealership's service center, or on the phone with Chevy customer support.

This isn’t a warranty question since it has been covered satisfactorily by Chevy. It’s a question of product performance and confidence. There was obviously a product performance issue that we, as technically oriented enthusiasts, would like to understand.

You were all in on requesting a “fix” for M6 ZL1 bog (product performance) so you could turn a ZL1 1LE into a NHRA drag racer. Now you sound sour because you didn’t get the answer you hoped for.
