Tire vibration

I am running into trouble with the tires developing excess run out after hard launches. I am running mickey Thompson et street as 285 x 20 on stock ss wheels. Car has 610 hp to the wheels. I picked up a vibration after about 1k miles after some launches. Mickey Thompson replaced one. Now the other one has excess run out.

I am ready to go with new wheels and tires and was thinking 305 x 18 on rear with nitto street drag radials. To get this right should I get forged wheels? Also is nitto a decent tire?

Anyone know the weight difference and if it's worth it to go from 17x4.5 & 17x10.5 race star "dark stars" to same setup with Welds?

Grand sport

Will these fit or do i need adapters/spacers? The backs are 19x12 with +59 offset. The fronts are 18x9.5 with +40 offset.

FZ4, I dont get on this forum often because I have a Chevy SS but I may be able to help you if still needed. I have 2-Nitto NT555's in 305x40x18 that stick at 5/32nd and only have about 8 runs on them. I want $300.00 for the pr. I also have 2 MT/Street SS in 305x40x18 that also stick at 5/32nd and only have 5 runs on them. I want $400.00 for that pr. I went with 19" MT Street SS for my car (642)WHP to get the traction I needed.I even have 2-18x9 1/2 VMR710's in Graphite if those interest you.Want $400.00 for that pr. I am coming to Kenosha on the 27th of December to see my new Grandson so we could meet and swap if there is any interest. PM me if this is of any interest to you. Tom

Here's my current setup. I'm dropped an inch all around with BMR suspension parts, Koni adjustables, and stock sized 2 piece rotors with the stock brembo calipers. Looking to make the switch to Welds or something for street & strip and a set of skinnys to throw on when at the track.

I'm pretty sure you need a spacer, and possibly longer studs. I'm looking into skinnies up front, and that's what I've found out.

New drag setup:

RSI Bracket racer 17x9.5 rears (https://goo.gl/AaeXny) NO FITMENT ISSUES 2010 2SS/RS
Hoosier 28x10-17 (https://goo.gl/F4EU2k)
GTO Spare wheels 17x4
Hoosier 27.5x4.5-17 (https://goo.gl/RJPVwu)
Custom made spacers/adapters for Camaro CB to GTO CB, 3" (https://goo.gl/FxKL6d)

GTO spares with spacer weighed 19.6lbs before media blasting (no tire). Right now they just have a clear coat on them to keep oxidation at bay since they're bare aluminum. These were only used as a test to see if it was cost effective and efficient. I have the RSI matching fronts in 17" as well.

Total for Spares: $120 after media blasting.
