It's ok. It can be fixed. At least you drive the car.

Remember, it's gotta have just enough imperfections over its lifespan to give you good reason to dump it for the Gen 7. Always a bright side. If you're gonna fix it, I suggest doing it quickly, otherwise you'll find it easier to live with day by day.

If it makes you feel better I already have a tiny rock chip in my hood, and somehow two chips on my passenger rear wheel, didn't even curb the thing. :(

Yep that's why my first mod is a clearbra. I have first hand experience with a clearbra on my 5G ZL1 when someone kicked up a metal hub cap and it hit my front bumper. I thought for sure it went through the clearcoat, but when we took the clearbra off it was perfect. So yes definitely something worth spending the money on.

I took three nick on my old ZL1's Xpel that gouged the Xpel but didn't hurt the paint. I now Xpel the nose and hood on all my cars and am intrigued by the possibility that the OE paint could be mint on a high mileage, 10 year old car. I plan is to have it redone when/if it gets chewed up. In the past, I had the front repainted at five years but that is expensive and chips almost immediately

That sucks man!
I know a place in Lewisville off Business 121 than can get it as close to disappearing as it can get without a full hood repaint.
Magic Touch paint and body is the place.
