It will make it a mid tens car in good conditions.

The 200 lbs is an option? That's weird too.
You are talking about the Hellcat and not the Demon. Plenty of DR equipped Hellcats running 10:70s even a few 10:60s out there with no weight reduction they for the most part are using 275 - 305 Drs because that is all that will fit.

This car will have selectable fuel tuning, 315s, and 200 lb weight reduction and a race inspired suspension. Expect this car to launch much harder than the present Hellcat. Again we are asuming no increase in power to achieve the mid 10s. No way it doesn't run atleast 3-tenths quicker than the present Hellcat on DRs.

Also no mention of why the tires carry a Demon logo if they are off the shelf NT05Rs (which is far from a slick I hate to inform them). There are stickier DRs out there too.
Yeah still don't see DR's on the front. Believe it when I see it. Now maybe a track oriented hellcat with wide tires all the way around is a possibility? I agree it will probably be an option for the DR's

If Dodge even TRIES to entertain the idea of making this a road course car, they'll fail. Just focus on what it's good at, 1/4 mile and Mile racing and call it a day.

10.6 would be a hero run from hell. Watched one run all night in negative DA. 10.88 best he could do with a dead hook clean run. Same night my car mustered an 11.6. A downhill track in the middle of winter 10.6 might be believable. Love the internet claims. Just like the claim of 10.3 stock c7 zo6. 10.1 dr only. I've never seen them run close to that.

200 lbs off and nothing else wouldn't make it a consistent 10.5 car. It would make it possible. Suspension work and fuel tuning... that wasn't part of the deal but yeah that would help

That makes perfect sense.

(I just noticed I messed the units up on the supercharger displacement. It's now fixed on my original post)

There was also a rumor about the Demon being AWD.

Given the "#" and "@" symbols on the plate and 3,500 RPM being a reasonable RPM for peak torque, I prefer this theory:

2576 ft lbs of torque (#) to the wheels @ 3,500 RPM
when you adjust for the gear ratio (assuming 3.7 here):
2576 / 3.7 (gear ratio) = 696 ft lbs to the wheels
I agree with TheRealJA105 ;
it dropped 257.6 lbs and gained 3.5 in track width....but I like the in depth thought

Yeah. The weight and width theory seems more likely to me than the two I had previously posted.

Well, Dodge said where 3/4 of the weight saving came from. Removal and the back seat and the passenger seat.

They also gave it smaller brakes, simpler steering, and some suspension parts were made thinner.

This is not a road car...thinner suspension parts, smaller brakes, only one seat. No thanks.

Link to the only one seat information?

Dodge has a history of seeming to somehow start doing things us drag racers started doing. Lots of us have rear seat deletes, most custom made. Several others started doing the headlight intake, which was then copied on the Hellcat.

I can see lighter seats, but not sure about no passenger seat at all.

Interesting. According to that report it says the seats are "options". LOL
