As far as the new options and mechanical updates this is a very big step forward for the Stangs, but that also means the price is going to go up. As for the looks.... that frontend just looks weird, if the lower grill angled in instead of out I think it would be look much better.

It looks like the previous Performance Pack suspension (or the equal) is now standard on the GT.

All models get revised shocks, increased lateral stiffness, and revised stabilizer bars (base suspension improvements said to be on par with the previous optional performance suspension)

Actually there are suspension changes. The standard GT is getting much of what is included in the current PP GT.

Looks like a fusion coupe, I do not like it at all. I first looked at it and was like what were they thinking? The other upgrades sounds nice though.

So the official pictures definitely look better than the leaked video and images from that video that we saw yesterday.

The initial reaction was of dooms day.

But hey....we at Camaro land understand that right? Anyone remember how images of the uncovered Camaro were accidentally shown on national television, and pretty much nobody liked those? Well we all turned around on that one as well.

I'm not really sure I like the 18 any better than the 15 - 17. In some ways (rear end) I might like it more. But then again, while I think the Mustang is a nice looking car with a great profile, it has never truly tickled my fancy. To me, I still prefer the front and side styling of the Camaro. Only from directly behind the car do I think the Mustang looks better.

I think everyone should be ready for a significant straight line performance jump with the GT (and possibly even the Ecoboost). More HP and TQ, and that sweet 10 speed auto is going to put the car MUCH closer to the straight line performance of Camaro.

Handling will be similar, with the base GT getting the performance pack stuff from before and the new PP getting even more track oriented performance. Expect it to be damn near or on par with the SS in handling, but the 1LE Camaro should still have the win in this department (considering anything in its price range)

The front end being subjective, the 18 Mustang is a better car in about every way if you ask me.

Last but not least....Price!??? Fans of the new Mustang that want all the go-fast goodies better be ready to pay for it. Premium GT PP Mustangs with active exhaust, 10 speed, and active suspension aren't going to be cheap.

So far after seeing more pictures its not as bad as I originally thought, but it still does look off in some angles.

Except for the shots of the Kona Blue one. In Kona blue it looks damn good but that might be more to the paint than the car lol

Definitely not a fan of that nose. I think it is much worse than current mustangs. I'm glad to see they are upping the instrumentation technology and ramping up the performance to try and close the gap to the camaro.

I really wish they would come out with a stage 2 performance package that would be essentially a Mustang 1LE.

5.0L V8
GT350 Magride Suspension
GT350 size wheels and tires (performance pack is way too narrow)

Truthfully if I could've had a 2015-2017 Mustang GT Perf. Pack with Magride, 285+ size tires, active exhaust, and some aggressive spring and sway bar tuning, I would have bought it. It seems like they are trying to get closer to a car like that but still keeping a big cushion between it and the GT350. Because of that I don't think they will make a non GT350 mustang that will be in the same league as the 1LE until the next gen.

I'm wondering if Ford intends to use those scoops beneath the fog lights as some sort of brake cooling ducks?

guarantee you those are being used to direct air around the front wheels to create "air curtains" just like the SS camaro does. This nose clearly has been revised for aero not cosmetics!
