The Hellcat has problems from a dig with tiny 275 tires but does well from a roll since traction isn't as big an issue. If the Z06 doesn't spank the hellcat, from a roll, I doubt the ZL1 will. The Zl1 should be able to take it from a dig since it will have better traction but it will probably be a close race from a rolling start.
Math is math

different drivers in different cars is a variable that is not static, PWR is PWR.

Now, if you took a seasoned professional drag racer, put them in both cars on the same day, we can start talking about which CAR is better vs. which driver is better.

end of the day can we all agree that a car that has 707HP, 650 Torque, but weighs 500lbs more than a car with 640 / 640, 1/4 times are going to come down to the driver?

Yes, it will more than likely come down to the drivers, especially the driver of the traction limited Hellcat.

I almost bought a hellcat until I drove one. With the limited and scary lack of traction, I said no thanks!

Ok, so "Spank" may be a little optimistic, but since most real races between similar cars are won or lost at the starting line, and since the Hellcat is notoriously hard to launch, I think, given equal driver skill, the Hellcat will lose every time.
As for runs from a roll, weight does still matter, so does aerodynamics, and hopefully the 10 speed auto trans will take care of keeping the Z in the sweet spot.

Rolling starts are stupid , Does the NHRA do them? hell no. Almost always someone jumps the gun . And what would happen if you mixed in a few right and left turns .

Don't forget to factor in that the Dodge driver's beer belly and mullet adds another 150 pounds to the equation.

I'm still LOST why GM didn't wait until 2017 to do all this intro stuff and make a bigger deal ABOUT the 50th anniversary <<<< They could of done the WHOLE GEN 6 intro and really DONE the 50th year a BLOW OUT. Course then there wouldn't be all US people who bought 2016's and are now wishing they had waited LOL Feeling a little foolish be honest :( O WELL that's the Bear by the ASS...........
