There are very few that will even ride with me these days. (he, he, he) They never really had a scare like the surge of a ZL1 with warm tires. Just in case though, I purchase some spare GM duplicate items for these cars when new that probably will not be available in 25-30 years to freshen up the car down the road. Door sills, ZL1 mats, stock camaro mats, both colored car covers, air filters, emblems and wheels and tires if possible. Better quality OEM stuff that will probably cost more in the future if they are even available at all. I know that's anal but I don't sweat the normal wear and tear.

I hate this also, but I do it all the time myself. Being disabled I try very hard not to, but I can't help dragging my feet over it.

I doubt I'll still be around in 25-30 years. I know the car will be long gone.

I just completed installing the 3M tape on both sides.
Should no longer be an issue now. Anybody trying to do this on their own, all you need is a 2" x 40" sheet for each door. Takes only a few minutes for the install. I trimmed mine to 30" lengths. Thanks for all the replies. |
