1 post and no pics.

Buyer beware, meet in person or use paypal as service, never pay as gift to friend.

Been down this road twice, luckily was able to get my money back both times.

True, but it isn't usually a "for sale" thread... Always looks a little shady if you have never used this forum before, but want to sell something.

You're at the right place. Just need to show commitment (more posts) before jumping right into selling things to avoid suspicion. Nothing personal, just safer for everyone involved that way. Most forums I am part of won't even let you sell anything until you've hit 100 posts for this exact reason.

What do you mean when you say never pay as a gift to friend? I just sold some stuff on ebay today and the guy paid me that way to keep from paying fees thru paypal. Am I about to get screwed?

NO.. he is the one taking the risk because he is the one that gave you a "gift" of whatever certain amount of money you both agreed on. So pretty much just gave you money and hoping that you will go through with your side of the deal which is shipping the merchandise he purchased. Sending money as gift pretty much means you gave someone free money therefore no scam protection for the person who sent it.

Ok thanks for clearing that up for me. I was hoping I was not getting ready to get screwed after I sent him the stuff he bought from me.
