Oil cooler block off
Ok so during break in for the first couple hundred miles I'm going to block off my oil cooler.
Do I completely block off both holes or do I get one what let's oil pass from one hole to the next?

Do you run anything at all? I was looking at running an external after engine break-in.

What block off do you run? Not afraid of running the oil to hot? I know in a pull I would see 235-240* on oil temp.

I would say those TT's will heat your oil a bit more than what Bo is running.

Zero cooler here too. Factory block off.
240-250 is GREAT oil temps. That is where you want it.

I got the plug and the oil cooler block off if you want to buy them from me. I will sell pretty cheap. Let me know. I too had no cooler, but now that I want to race I wanted one. only thing you will need is the 2012+ radiator upper hose.

My 6.0 don't accept the 6.2 oem oil cooler. That's why I'm switching to a different one. With my power I'm going for I'm going to want a oil cooler

Oil protects better when hot. 220-250 is great oil temps.
It doesn't depend as much on power as application. If it is just a straight line car, I seriously doubt you need a cooler and it may cause more harm than good. If it is a road race car that sees 10-30 minutes of solid on it, that is when oil coolers are needed. A single 1/4, 1/2 or 1 mile pull does not need an oil cooler.

I removed my oil cooler this spring, my oil temps never got over 230 even sitting in stop and go traffic, in fact it's never read hotter than with cooler on the car
