im partially new to this aswell but i'll try to answer as much as I can.
Cost: depends on if you rent the cable or buy it. I believe some sites will lend one out to you for a security deposit. Usually (not counting the deposit for the cable) it can run anywhere between 250-500. How its done: No idea... This I cannot say as I have not done it Retune: Yes you will. The tune SHOULD be one of your last mods as it can cost extra with some companies to make a new tune. It'll be cheaper in the end to WAIT till all your mods are done THEN tune. If I am wrong anyone can correct me. I just provide the information I have learnt. |

Trifecta offers lifetime updates for most bolt on mods. So no extra cost.

How is done: you send your car info and any performance mod that you have done, they send you a file and a link to download the program on you computer, then you connect you car to the computer (they give you a cable for that) open the program and insert the file on your car... Will I need to retune if I add any mods to my car: no need to retune for cai, exhaust, icelator, tb throttle... You need a new file if you get headers, turbo, SS (mayors performance modifications) you need to record the info (driving the car with the computer connected) and send it so they send you a new file... They will give you a factory file in case you need to go back stock... I hope this help...

Or you could let a local installer install it and then no need to spend the $ on a cable.

Depend how you play with the tune... Ghost Cam, update depend on mods... And if the OP check BNracing do group buy that pretty much give you free cable... That's how I got mine...

Updates I just email and schedule a time to pop it in. Not a problem since he lives close.GC,nope. IMO sounds like crap. Rumble, pause, rumble, etc. If I'm gonna make it sound like it has a cam,it will have a cam. The only time you get a free cable is when Trifecta has the Holiday sales and tunes are 300. My friend has a cable and all bolt ons. He said pretty much no updates were needed for anything he did. Group buys drag on until enough sign up. My point was BNR isn't the only game in town. There are many options. Just choose whats best for you. Check the Trifecta site or WOT site for dealer list. Probably one in your area.

We may not be the only name in the game but we're certainly one of the very few that pay money to support this site as vendors and before we came along people were paying $650-700 for trifecta tunes with cables.
Plus when you buy from us you get your tune backed up in our cloud storage, always there for when you want it, you get emailed updates whenever a critical ezflash update comes out, you get points that you can redeem for credit towards parts on our site, and you get security knowing that you bought from trifectas #1 dealer in the world for 2 years now. That guy with a cable that lives down the street might not be around when you need him, we aren't going anywhere. And another benefit you get with us is free tech support. Pc giving you problems with ezflash, or you just plain can't figure it out?- no problem, get in range of your wifi and we can remote control your laptop and flash the car for you or help you out with whatever you're stuck on. |
