What's your ZL1 price limit??
Nobody apparently knows how much the car is going to be but a lot of members on here are saying they are buying a ZL1. Just curious if there is a price limit to that decision...how much will you pay for it? I'm personally not in the market, but if I was I'd say not a dime over 54K for a nicely equipped 6 speed.

Considering tax, potential gas-guzzler tax and the likely exorbitant cost to insure the beast I would need to see a starting point of no more than $49k in order to make it work.

Base price $49,500 or I'll just have to go on living with my ABM SS.

Anything under 50k is "Oh Yeah, Dance of Joy time." Anything up to 52k is still a done deal. 52-55 would be reason to look at finances pretty danged hard & make sure I can. Over 55k would be grounds for suicide. (I'm really looking forward to this car.) .

Tax/tag/title, out the door, 55k or under. Anything over that and it's not gonna happen.

One way or another I’d like to keep it under $60,000 out the door. Subtract the sales and GG tax and that’s around $55,000. If it turns out being $57,500 I’ll stretch and add to my down payment to make it work. I’m hoping the GM family discount applies to the car but I’m not being too hopeful, and at most it would probably be $1000 I think. I’m getting the M6 so that will keep the price down. I’m hoping the base price is $49,995 to give me some wiggle room on the options (wheels, suede, stripe, etc.)

I am hoping for a $50,000 starting point and a $60,000 ending point after options, taxes, GG tax.

Under $60 out the door, but that might be hard. Out here in Denver the dealerships won't give a straight answer on mark up so I'm a little worried. I've got my name on the list of a local dealer but if anyone knows any dealership in Colorado that aren't adding a mark up I would love to know.

Well, considering the 2012 GT500's invoice price is $44,161, and the ZL1 will be "competitively priced" (give or take $500 dollars to the gt500's invoice price), I'm looking at 50,000-52,000 out the door.
