Head scratcher

Okay guys I need your help..
Haven't had a good bit of time to look into this and I'm currently 300 miles from home and hoping this issue isn't huge. Having a vibration in my car and I need ideas on what to look at while in this hotel parking garage ha.

Here's the scenario.

Vibration under acceleration. I can feel it in the steering wheel the most but can also feel it in the rest of the car. It's rpm sensitive and goes away when I let off the throttle. The harder the throttle, the worse the vibration. In 6th gear cruising at 90 I could barely feel it while rolling into throttle. Accelerating from stop is where it comes on the most.

I'm perplexed. Engine mounts? Ideas?

Thanks in advance

Check your driveshaft and trans mount.

Gloobo linkage for drive shaft those tend to crack over time old age. Or check the trans mount or your rear subframe bushings

I would check your flange bolts on the drive shaft.

Does sound driveline related. Possibly the center support bearing. Trouble is, it’s buried up in there and going to be TOUGH in the parking lot! You might to get it on a lift and pay someone to inspect.

What they said - sounds like drive line, U-joint/carrier bearing/flange connection.

Weird update today. Couldn't see anything wrong. Took it for a drive through the town I'm in. Speeds up to 50mph. No vibration

Has your car been tuned? Maybe you are having misfires that are not being reported because of the tune.

This is not unheard of. I saw this happen in a movie once so you know it's true.

Ditto the weird...... Misfires can present like driveline vibration. Perhaps temperature related ?

Haha one of my all time favorites. I used to watch it all the time with my Grandaddy before he passed. Miss those days.

Check your wheels for missing or loose weights if they are the stick on type on the inside of the wheel. Cold my car was fine but with heat I could actually make them move. That drove me crazy for awhile. Some days it would shake & the next day nothing.

Ding ding ding winner.

Car is cammed and tuned...

Okay so... driving nice it wouldn't present itself. Hard pulls it would. I had the 300 mile trip home to play around. Paging through my AEM gage I could see it retarding the holy heck out of timing when pulling hard so I thought maybe it's a misfire. I decided to pull the plugs to check them out. Well... I didn't even get that far. I had one wire just blown to crap. I couldn't see it because it was inside the thermal sleeve. New plug wires today after getting home and it's all better now.

On the flip side, we averaged 90mph for the trip and it still pulled 18mpg avg with this issue
