Kph to mph

Is anyone familiar with speedometers? To change the speedometer gauge from kph to mph, is it as simple as changing the gauge overlay to one that has the mph markings?

Yes, just follow the instructions in the manual. Page 114, Vehicle Personalization page 144 and “Options or Settings” under Instrument Cluster #110.

You can swap overlays but I don't think anyone is currently making them. I know 6LE was for the V8 but not the V6 or I4. You could always ask them.

Or if I already have a mph cluster i could just pull the overlays from that right?

In theory yes. The old ones should pop off, if they are like the ones in the V8.

I'm not sure about the LT Model, but with the SS cluster, you can change the setting in the DIC and the gauge will display kph instead of mph.

Yes, in the SS models, the gauge on the right goes from mph to kph.. If the RS models have the same instrument cluster as the SS models, then just head to the settings and switch over the metric readings.

I guess my goal was to make a original kph cluster (0-270) look like a original mph cluster (0-160).

Just tell people your car goes 270 mph. That would impress them.

Well
Got the Zl1 and tried it above 200...
When you switch us to metric everything changes:
Mph to kph
Fahrenheit to celcius
Psi to bar
...
The right gauge will indicate kph instead of mph!
The needle will displace to the right value
(Will switch from 70mph to 110kph...)
What will happen above 200kph?
The answer is:
Your needle will stay at 200kph on the right gauge when your digital speed will show 257kph on your screen and in your hud....
