car cover scratches??

so i recently bought a good car cover since i have a daily now and only driving my camaro on the weekends and i park it outside and it was getting dirty with all the winds and dirt and rain lately. After two weeks i took it off and drove it and noticed it was dirty on inside and outside and washed it before putting it back on and also wiped down the car with clean microfiber and spray detailed but noticed it had swirls and scratches all over the roof and trunk and hood.

Anyway to minimize these or is it just the nature of a car cover?

I do have ceramic coating on the car and have to go back in spring to get my yearly touch up so not super worried but just wanted to see if anybody had any advice.

this is one i got below

My advice is don't use a car cover outside, like you said the wind whips it and that is what you end up with scratches and swirls. I use a indoor cover in the garage and I always like to have a good coat of a carnauba wax to help prevent scratching when I put on and take off.

You might want to consider getting an indoor satin stretch cover that is lined then put your outdoor one over the top of it. You could also invest in a carcapsule. Just a thought.

Yes unfortunately that is the nature of a car cover.

Here's what I do:

Mine has survived 40 mph winds and 1.5 winters . I close up both ends, turn on a propane heater for a few minutes, and its warm enough to wash the car inside. It's in the single digits here.

I am using two car covers. On top of the indoor I am putting an outdoor cover. After 1 year year I don't have too many scratches.

It is anchored to the pavement with steel cable and eyebolts. Just use a drill, preferably hammer drill, to install some concrete anchors. Install the eyebolt and secure with steel cable.

This may go without saying, but the car finish should be 100% clean before covering or it can scratch, even with an indoor cover.
