Car Level for Diff Fluid Change?

I have a 2018 1SS 1LE I am getting ready to change the differential fluid on and want to confirm if the car needs to be level to get the correct amount when refilling. My past cars I had level for the fluid change but with the jack points not being as easy to deal with on this car I want to confirm.

Thanks!

I did my diff fluid yesterday. Had both front and back on jack stands approximately leveled. about 1.1QT came out and 1.2 QT went in.looking at the placement of Drain and fill plugs, an approximate level should be fine IMO.

If you are a Jack and Jack Stand person, I recommend investing in the ZL1 Addons Jack points and Jacking adaptor. It is very comfortable and useful in not hurting the pinchweld or the rocker panel by accident.

Thanks,
Suresh

my car wasnt level, just the rear end was raised. still got 1.2 out, and it took just over 1.2 to start spilling from the fill plug.

I have Race Ramps, 2 floor jacks and many jack stands but I don't trust my jack stands on the pinch welds. Yes, I need to get the ZL1 Addons lift points!

Sounds like it may not matter if I'm level or only have the rear raised as long as I get the correct amount back in. For simplicity sake I may just raise the rear which is easiest for me right now and while it's draining put the rear back down to make sure I get most of the old stuff out.

I just drove up onto 2x8s (all 4 wheels) and that got me enough clearance to just crawl under the car and do the diff oil change.
