I love how manufactures spend millions in advertising commercials doing rolling burnouts, drifts and high speed runs in them but god forbid you have a little fun and something happens, hell even when you baby the car and something happens its like an FBI investigation from what I hear. Damn hypocrites.

Chevy will allow you to do rolling burnouts, noncompetitive drag racing, HPDE track events... All covered under warranty.

Modify the car in any way and your warranty is gone for areas affected by those change. CAI, tune, Drag radial...

I recently had the torque convertor replaced in my car and was asked "is it stock?". I am. No problem. Stock capabilities are satisfying enough for me while under warranty

It depends what you want. Do you want a large sports car with a nearly unusable back seat(I call mine the cargo shelf)? Then get a Camaro. If you'd rather have a huge coupe with a totally usable back seat and larger trunk (although the Camaro's trunk space isn't awful).

The Camaro handles massively sharper and more sporty, and the Challenger is more spacious. Both are fairly comfortable, but if you're really tall the Challenger has better headroom. Both are fast too, but the Camaro is lighter and it does get better fuel economy. They're not even in the same class of vehicle. If driving them didn't help you decide, maybe you should go try out a few other cars. Maybe something like a Audi S3.

I am in the same camp as you and think I am going to end up with a 2ss. I like the scat pack but to get all the same options you'll find in a 2ss not even counting the MRC the used Scat Packs will be like $5000 more.

They are selling tons of 2017 Scat Packs @ 31k. Crazy deals right now.

I had a 2015 Challenger RT and now a 17 Camaro SS.

Depends on your needs as to the best choice for you. The Challenger I had for almost 30,000 trouble free miles. (No loose endlinks or clicking front wheels for example on Camaro with less than 5000 mi) The Challenger size take a little getting use to but handles decently especially if your just going to dragstrip or driving on commutes. There is room to carry passengers or haul items in the trunk, so it is great for wanting a coupe and not really making any compromises.

I love the Camaro speed, looks and handling. I love sitting low (I had a 370z before the Challenger and Camaro reminds me of the Z but just a lot faster) in the Camaro you actually feel like your in a sports car but you still get great ride in Camaro with Mag Ride.(I don't know how non mag ride is)

I have another car as daily so reaching up for drive-thrus, atms, etc doesn't affect me but you might want to drive both and see how you feel.

They both look very cool, although part of me wonders if the Challenger style is getting a bit...tired. It comes down to if you want a pretty quick land yacht or a sharp handling sports coupe. I like the styling of the 6th Gen Camaro better but if I didn't have this car, I'd have no problems owning a 6.4 Challenger.

Where are you seeing these prices. Everything local to me is still upper 30s to low 40s. At 31k I would consider a purchase of a Charger.

I bought my Camaro from their GM side and the best price in the area. There were no discounts that I had to be eligible for. They do very high volumes.

Chargers were a little more expensive though. 35k.

After looking again those 392's were not Scat Packs. They have only 5 2018 Scat Packs which are 38k.

Funny the price of those Challengers went up $1,000 since you posted that. Also all R/T 392 are scat packs.

Those are damn good prices on a Scat Pack Challenger. The Green Go with the A8 for $31,998 would look nice next to my Charger.

Ahh.. Was throwing me because I didn't see the Scat Pack emblem but just the 392.

The scat pack emblem is on the front and the 392 on the fenders on the Charger.

I really could never buy a car that's called "scat".
