Creating own flow tie grille
Wondering if anyones made stock grille into a flow tie. I dont like the fact that the flowtie grille comes in mettallic black. Yes I could paint, but if anyones done this and its fairly simple then why would I spend the money for the same result? Any tips/trick if so?!! Thanks guys

I cut mine out, it looks good IMO. It removes the tabs that secure it to the front grill though so I had to glue it back on but honestly it was worth it.

I've almost finished mine. I bought a stock grill from someone to toy with it. It's really not THAT difficult to do as long as you have a dremel with a cutting wheel, a cutting drum, and a few other small tools. Yes it takes some time but I'm glad I am trying it. About all I have left now is getting the 3M adhesive badge tape, lining the back of the chrome badge with it, and sticking it on. And the good thing, it will match the bottom grill unlike the design of the flow tie grill you can get from places like Phastek.
