There is nothing you can use that is really going to make it true black. It is off gray plastic on the LT. You can try mothers “back to black”. What you really need to do is to paint it gloss black, or use plastidip black like I did to make it truly black.

Black vinyl is the easiest way to go. There's a ton of different black you can choose.

I tried both plastidip and vinyl and trust me... you don't want to use plastidip..

For those that want to keep the black plastic looking new, I treated mine when it was new with Chemical Guys Car on Flex C9 Trim Coating. Two years later, it still looks new. Cant get pics right now due to weather.

Then you did something wrong. I’m going on 2 1/2 years, and it still looks perfect. 3 light coats after an alcohol wash, sprayed in 72 degree weather, rattle can warmed up in hot water before applying.

Gets washed once a week.

Agree here. PlastiDip can be tricky, but once you get it down, it is a really good option especially for the price.

I've been plasti dipping things for years now from Small Emblems to entire cars...Just takes practice and it can come out great.

A full respray would be the best solution and that is what I went for.

+1

I had plastic dip on parts of the front end of my race bike. 1 set of body work turned out ok, just as expected. 2nd time, someone else did the work and heated the plastidip can first. The finish came out nice and extremely smooth. This lasted for over a year of street and track until I sold it.
