buying zl1, have a couple questions
hey guys, I am new to this site and to camaros but not new to chevy. I have always been a truck guy and have had duramax's. Ive been keeping my eye opened for a car and have always loved the zl1.. I am looking to buy one over the winter and wanted some direction from you guys. I know a guy that has a 13 black 6 speed with 4,000 km on it that i am looking to buy. the car has the lingenfelter 630hp kit along with a roto fab intake, kooks long tubes with hi flow cats and corsa cat back exhaust.. it is also tuned by diablo are these any good ? (in the diesel world they aren't) .. i have been reading quite a bit on here now and sounds like if i was to buy it my next step would be to upgrade injectors.. I've also read a bit about how it is better to upgrade the crank pulley as opposed to the upper pulley like the lingenfelter kit comes with. is this true ? I am really looking for a white car but the reason i am thinking of buying the black one is because it already has lots of mods.. sorry for all the questions guys like i said I'm new to camaros so any insight and opinions would be awesome, thanks

Keep in mind that CM will be very intrusive , if you for any reason need to use the warranty

Your right about the Diablo I'd lose it and the cats. My opinion is this. I'd buy it if I was gonna get a good deal on it. And I mean like go price a similar one with equal or close mileage without mods and offer him that. If he won't take it then I'd go for what I want to begin with "the white one". My personal reasoning is that you don't know how it felt before he modded it all you know is how it feels now with a canned tune. I like to get the feel of the car like when it was new and get accustomed to it then start modding it from there.
Ok I'll cut to the chase! I say if you really want a white one buy the white one then you will surely not have any regrets at all! Ever! You won't regret getting a black one or getting a used previously modded one either. Hope this helps.

And I like my warranty - it has come in handy a couple times; a modded car with a tune kills trying to get warranty work done.

I would say this, if you want white, then you will never be happy.
Find a white one, you can always upgrade it to suit your taste later. But changing colors, whole different story. Tony

if i was to go with the car here in town would there be anything you guys would change ? (other than diablo tuner) .. is the lingenfelter package good to keep in the car with the upper pulley done or would i be better doing a jannetty kit with the lower pulley and have him tune it ?
