Now for the right tires...??
Now that I've found my source for the OEM SS 1LE wheels I plan to put on my '18 Hottie....it's come to my attention that I may not want the OEM Goodyear Supercar tires if I don't plan to take it to the track. Is this true? Is there a better tire for around town and red light bursts?
Thanx in advance.... HD

I bought a set of factory ZL rims then bought (2) 285/30/20 & (2) 305/30/20 Michelin Pilot Super Sports.
The car sits in the garage in poor weather, so no need degrade the handling with A/S or snow tires. When these wear down I will see how others rate their Michelin 4S tires, as of now, the PSS has far more customer ratings, and most of them give very good marks in all catagorys!! Respects, Richard |

My local Chevy dealer sales person said that if I'm not on the track, then I don't want the soft rubber that will wear faster and throw rocks against my paint worse than regular street tires. Seems fair.....
Thoughts? Thanx, HD

Yes, I am aware that the P4S is the replacement for the PSS, but I also know the P4S doesn't have the number of positive reviews the the PSS has collected.
By the time I wear down these PSS I'll consider the P4s. Until then, I'm well satisfied with my choice of the tried and true PSS tires that I bought. Respects, Richard Last edited by Meatco1; 03-09-2018 at 11:38 PM. |
