255 x 40 are no problem up front. They match very close in height. When I need to replace that's what I am going with. Kumho Ecsta 255 x 40 x 20 and 285 x 35 x20 rear. This gives me a little more sidewall which is important for our roads here in Canada.

Just installed a set of Michelin PS4s...255/40 and 285/35...no issues whatsoever...sidewall is a bit taller..love them so far

I am also contemplating going bigger when my stock tires go out. I'm wondering what the best set up would be to close the wheel gap between the tire and fenders on a stock mag ride setup.

285/35 & 255/40 - closes the gap by abt 1/4", but not enough to make the car look like it sits higher off the ground.

I drive in downtown and other inner parts of Houston (horrible roads), and didn't want to go with a shorter sidewall or lower the overall clearance due to that.
