I get sarcastic comments from a few family members, but only because this is the only car I have hand washed regularly in about 20 years. (my previous DD's were usually filthy) Other comments are usually about how nice it looks.

At least once a week here. I tell my wife it's therapy...she tells me I'm overmedicated.

"You missed a spot!"

That's what my neighbors say all the time. I feel like replying "Yeah, that was funny the first three times you said it..." but I lust laugh, nod and wave.

Having black cars I wash them every weekend. In order to have a black car you have to be a neat freak and really appreciate its reflective beauty.

It's just nice and clean till I go out the next day and hit a small sprinkle and rain destroys it so starts the process again. Wash the camaro, dry off. Then move to the suburban: wash, chamois like my ass is on fire, then wash again because I couldn't get the water spots in time. Then a few of the neighbors innocently joking about me washing my cars twice. And then you got the other neighbors who are used to a monthly fine by the HOA cutting their grass intentionally after I am resting from washing and vacuuming the inside and finding all the minute water spots. Then here comes another wash from all the dust and grass shavings. My friends just say quit buying black cars. I just say" F-you. Why don't you just try and quit eating dinner!"
-And they wonder how I have the shiniest cars on the block! Ha ha

I'm glad to hear I'm not the only obsessive one. I wash mine 3 - 4 times a week. It's great therapy after a stressful day at work. Lucky for me, all the kids are grown and a very understanding wife.

So after lunch I had the car wash to myself because it's a 50% chance of rain for the rest of the week. What crazy person would wash a car right before it rains? Here's why..
