New message on instrument cluster

Driving this morning a message came on saying " Ice possible drive with care" outside temp guage said it was 33 degrees. Is this message based off outside temp guage?

In my 5th gen that warning seemed to light off around 37 deg. Now it's a lower threshold, at least.

Think 37 degrees is still the cutoff, anything 37 and lower it displays.

I pulled my car off the trailer this weekend at Willow Springs at about 6am.. Started it up and said Ice warning... I thought to myself this first session will be interesting.

lol, reminds me of when we had a really unusual cold spell in SoCal some years ago and everyone on the 350Z forum was freaking out over a similar message that none of us had ever seen before.

You've never seen that in a car? most modern cars do this now.

Yep, even our 2000 Monte Carlo SS did this.

My 2012 Silverado does it also.
