1LE or ZL1 front brake kit

Hi guys,
I came to the point that my standard 4 pots is holding me back on the track. It's not the stopping power, but the overheating and pad glazing/rotor hot spots.
I talked to my favorite Online GM parts vendor and he suggested the 1LE kit for $1500 or ZL1 kit for $1700. Both do not includ pads.
Which kit should I go with?

What pads are you currently using?

Where can you get the full front 1LE front kit for $1,500? That’s a steal.

Great guy named Kenneth. Always takes care of me.
Pic below show the quote. I think the bolts are not the correct part.

While you certainly know your driving style and limits better than anyone on the forum, I would question if you have really reached the limit of the braking.

The ST-43 is not a great pad.

I would try the Hawk DTC-60 or the G-Loc/Carbotech R16/XP16, before I went to a new caliper/rotor setup.

Nice. Does the rotor include the hat and mounting hardware?

EDIT: just looked it up by part number and it is the entire assembly. That’s a great price! I might have to use your guy in the future.

I quite like the ST-43.

.
I might be doing something wrong or it might be the pads, but the pads are getting tapered, rotor start juddering after a day or two in the track. No brake fade at all.
I was asking people around, and some were saying that the small pad/rotor cannot handle the heat

Probably because you haven’t used a good pad.

Have you actually read the whole thread?
It's explained many times in that thread why his experience was different than other people who had fantastic results with them (due to driving style).

I did use many "good" pads and I find the ST series much better than the others for track use, all things considered.

Try another pad before you get new everything.

When I raced my 2000 Trans Am, I used stock C5 calipers and rotors. But I put Carbotech XP12 pads in them. I raced against an almost identical 2000 Camaro with 6-piston Wilwoods. And I could outbrake him in every corner, all race long.

Now, the only drawback was that the pads lasted exactly 2.5 races. But, that's about 3 hours of pure racing.

I did try XP12 in the past. Braking power was great, but as you mentioned they died after 8X20 min on the track. Not the best value for money.
But again....spending $2000 on a BBK is not cheap either...
