ZL1 1LE Spoiler
I've been on the site since I got my 2SS in August, but this is my first post. I haven't seen anyone else post this, but ACS has the spoiler for sale (for a rediculous price):

That's not ridiculous for that. It's not for looks, it's meant for performance, a lot of people spent a lot of time working on it I'm sure. Now that said, I do wish it wasn't that pricey.

I'm waiting for someone to produce an aftermarket version of this for less than a grand and I'm all over it.

I'd pay $1200 TOPS, $3000+ is insane regardless of manhours. You can buy a hell of alot more performance parts for that amount of money.

Forum sponsor That GM Parts Guy has the ZL1 1LE wing already on his website, and for much less than MSRP:
http://www.thatgmpartsguy.com/zl1-1l...44?parent=1074 Man, not even the APR GT-250 is under a grand.

Will it fit a 1le ss or are the holes totally off?

The problem with putting this on an SS 1LE is there's only 2 holes in the trunk for the blade spoiler, you could just drill the center hole for the install, the two outer hole should match.

Even made out of carbon fibre this is absurdly expensive.

That is pretty insane, given that full retail from GM on the actual wing is 500.00 cheaper than their wing (which is the same thing).
And.. Wait, on TGMPG.... What's the 84328545 Satin Wing??? I thought there was only one? Exposed CF. That's kind of interesting, actually and I wonder what car it's on? I don't see it anywhere in the 2018 Order Guide either. |

ACS won't be able to compete with the gmpartsguy for OEM parts. If they have the wing it's time to start making more affordable replicas.

FYI - Watched a video of GM guy talking about ZL1 1LE from CamaroFest and he said they had to reinforce the trunk lid because this wing creates so much more downforce. So putting this wing on a non ZL1 1LE trunk lid is going cause problems.
