I'm looking for a solution to this as well. Currently I have to dismiss the airbag
each time I start the vehicle while the red light to the right stays on permanently having removed all factory seating.

I soon will be in the need for a solution.

I looking for the largest possible seat, doesn't need to be full containment.
6'2" 38 waist but weight is 275. gotta lay off the weights.

Recommendations please. Thanks in advance!

You drive a 1LE by your post that's a nice seat. The seat pictured is their smallest it's 15"
opening and I'm a 36" waist and barely fit in it. I installed the 17" for the passenger seat
and have a buddy who is a big guy fits in it just fine. Kirkey makes this same seat in an
18" as well but I would think that would be to big for you. Here the link to the seats

Good Luck!

FYI you should fix how you put the harness thru the buckles as this will just pull thru in an impact.
The harness must be "re-woven" over the left side of the buckle (as showing in the pic) and then UNDER the right side, so it will cinch itself in case of impact. I will try to find a pic and will post it here of what I mean.

Here's a pic that demonstrates both an incorrect way to put the harness thru the buckles (passenger side) and a correct way (drivers side).
May I suggest you fix yours asap as it won't hold the way you have it right now. Cheers!

Here's a pic borrowed from a climbing world that illustrates the last but absolutely crucial step which must be completed lest any harness (of this buckle design) is absolutely useless:

Good eye! Thanks for pointing this out TrackClub. I did the wrap back since this picture was taken. Great "How To"pictures BTW.

Very glad to hear it Mjollnir - and thanks.
I have a habit of walking the paddock and checking folks harnesses. I almost always find 1 or 2 that are done improperly. Sends shivers down my spine as to potential consequences...Happy motoring!

RaceTech seats are the most comfortable, and safest seat IMO, and several others who have “tested” them that I have spoken with. I have a 4119 in my race car. I can fall asleep in the staging lanes

I wish I could say the same about my Kirkey seats. I bought the 15" wide for
the drivers side and 17" for the passenger and with my body weight I can press
fit my scratchy ass into the seat. It's getting out of the seat is the problem as
I need some sort of ass shoehorn to pop me out. Being the seat is made of
aluminum I affectionately refer to them as "Death Valley" seats as they are cold
as hell in the morning and hotter than death valley by the afternoon, but I wouldn't
trade them in for nothing. Light, inexpensive and made in America!

Question: Can't tell if you still have factory seat belts installed or did you remove them as well?. what harness bar are you using?. are you sitting lower in this seat?. have you been stopped by the police and if so have they bothered you about the seats/harness?. is this your daily driver or track car only?. Looking to install seats soon as well.
