If you are going to race it... gears
If you are going for HP and sound... cam

not much noticeable differences with intakes, h-pipes, pulleys... go big

Camming an L99 isn't that easy. To do it right costs twice as much as an LS3.

I think If I purchased the L99 A6 I would go FI of some sort over the doing the Cam install
FI no need for a converter or the Bigger $$ switch for the Cam install. FI would be less costly with more punch dontcha think??

@ OP, do you race on the track or just want the car to be faster on the street?

good questions.... and op's question is hard to answer without them.

I would do a nice custom grind vvt cam head work and a tune by a vvt pro. but my needs and wants could be different than yours OP. also a better intake would be nice, and as Chase said a washer relocate and a scoop are a nice addition and i recommend it whole heartedly.

Any time you start modding an l99 and are considering cam and/or fi, it'd be a good idea to toss the afm lifters in favor of ls3's. AFM lifters don't hold up all that great in stock vehicles.

It really just depends on your goals, do you want a hp number, do you want a track number, do you want to race the car or just mainly daily drive the car. There are tons of great options and everyones opinion will vary. But in the end, you need to decide what your goals are, and then mod accordingly.

Id go for a good cam and custom tuning to accompany it. It will sound mean, have good power and will be a blast to drive!
