Take the last Viper ACR and the different lap times Randy has gotten there with the same car. 1:28.65 1:31.58 Randy has even run the C7 Z06 there a few times getting lap times that are a few seconds apart as well. |

Boiling oil provides less protection. Dry dump is great, however while tracking a car, the difference in damage between of dry sump/reg would be impossible to quantify. Many missed shifts, over revving serves more damage.

Growing up next to that track I will tell you the temperature is always 60-80 degrees year round. My purpose to post referenced track times were to prove the 1LE is as capable as the Z. We all know original owners of the Z have a special car. I find it interesting and exciting chevrolet continues to research and develop to improve on the past.

One is a car designed to conquer the track, no excuses, but can also be driven on the street. The other is a street car that just so happens to be able to do to a track what the Z could, with less effort. The Z needed more power, better brakes, race inspired suspension, basically all GM had to offer thrown at it to do what it does. The 1LE is a 1SS with some tweaks. In other words, a sixth gen Z/28 would make the fifth gen Z/28 seem old, and slow. |

Run the Z/28 and the 6th Gen SS 1LE for an hour and let me know which car is faster. No need, I already know. The question I would like answered is run for an hour, is a ZLE or Z/28 faster? I can think that one into circles.
