Any Army Recruiters or Soldiers with knowledge of the recruiting process in here?

Ok, so just a little insight on my background. 25 years old, just got out of the Air Force. I did Security Forces for 4 years. I was supposed to do 6 but since the AF is begging for people to get out I volunteered. My main reason for getting out was that there was no career progression where I was at and Air Force is force shaping, so they were bound to kick anyone out that gave the wrong person the slightest weird look, and I was tired of the BS "deployments" we went to (mainly Qatar, UAE, Kandahar, Kyrgyzstan.etc). Anyways, everything is over and done with, im out and back home in DC looking for a job. Few hits here and there but im definitely missing the whole military atmosphere. So I started looking towards the Army and ran into the whole Warrant Officer option. I did some research on how to become a candidate. On a page I ran into it said if I have gone through the SPEC-OPS, some Air Tactical course or Security police Academy (which is what I did) that I dont have to go through boot camp again. And I saw a chart saying since my AFSC (MOS) was 3p0x1 that I could transition into 153a. Now, with me being out and no connection back to any aviation officer for recommendation, What are my options or what can be my next step?

Well can you go through MEPS again successfully? I think that's the first step here.

yep overflow is right, as it stands every prior service person must do army basic / ait. spec ops is highly competitive but if you're capable they'll consider you.. start working out / running and.contact recruiter. the.army has web pages dedicated to recruiting good luck. I always see messages for warranty officers and I know there's a need. just like the chair force the army is becoming very selectively

Any Army Recruiters or Soldiers with knowledge of the recruiting process in h...

I served in both the Air Force (including 3-year stint as a recruiter) and currently serve as a Human Resources officer (42B) with the Army Reserve. I am extremely familiar with USMEPCOM procedures, as well as AFRS' and USAREC's. Feel free to PM me.

Well I went today but it seems like the recruiter might have started his weekend a few hours early. I hope I dont have to go through MEPs again. I never want to go through that again. Im going to try on Tuesday again.

Depends on the route you go if you're returning and your location. I answered your PM. But as for this quote above, don't rule out a return to a local MEPS facility for a medical evaluation.

I'm a warrant officer and I am a pilot. I did 8.5 years enlisted then switched over to warrant officer. PM me with whatever questions you have and I can hook you up.
