Yep, sure will. All covers will. The key is to only use them when absolutely necessary, ie when the car won't be driven for weeks.

Putting any cover on and taking it off regularly is bad news. Don't listen to all the posters that will follow and tell you they do it every day with no damage. Most people don't care about paint condition the way we do. If it's not down to primer it's not a scratch

You are right, it will. Put mine on once, then polished out the scratches and sold it.

That's actually a perfect use for it. Putting it on and letting it set all winter will do very minimal damage and in this case would be worth it.

So true! My wife and I just passed a black Mustang with swirls that were visible to the naked eye. I shook my head in disgust and my wife had no idea why.

Then again maybe I was disgusted because it was a Mustang

I have had to use one while I was away for 3 months. Got the super industrial outdoor one from Chevy Mall. It wasn't a perfect seal, as water did find a seam or two to seep through. Between minor scratches and inevitable water trickles.....save the cover if you're going to be out of town for awhile.

I didn't know if I even really needed it, my car sits in the garage most of the time. Just wondering if it was a good idea for the winter

Unfortunately, me and the gf don't have a garage yet so we had to store the Corvette and Camaro in a local storage area. Unfortunately, those places are dust bowls and have crap falling from their ceilings and walls. So when had them in there last winter, the covers we used were perfect.

Now that we have a contractor coming to build a 2 car garage before December, we probably won't need the covers. Or if you plan to use a cover, find one with a soft satin stretch under lining.

Unfortunately, the outdoor covers are almost like putting a tarp over the cars.

Here's the Corvette under the cover:

And heres the Camaro:
