The real unicorns were built IIRC Oct or Nov 2009. Chicklets, GM Perf badge, and backup sensors. No backup sensors until that time. It was after that the chicklets and perf badge went away. My July built 2SS just had chicklets and perf badge.

I should look up my vin again one of these days, only looked it up once before buying the car, all I know is that it was sold in Alberta Canada, before making it's way to Montana, then ending up in Portland, Oregon where whoever owned it traded it for a truck. Still has various wacky Canadian stickers and metric gauge cluster, definatly no badge or chicklets, but does have the backup sensors.

Mine was built over my birthday weekend. Tag on the front frame shows morning of 8/29/2009. Tag on differential says afternoon of 8/29/2009. 8/29/2009 was a Saturday. My birthday 8/30 was Sunday. Build date on the car is 8/31/2009 (Monday). It has both GM Performance badge under the hood and the chicklets on lower front fenders. It was a nice gift after waiting four months for the car.

My '10 SS was built on 8/4/09. It has the chicklets and the GM performance badge,
and no back up lamps. Early 5th gen Camaro are getting rare here in SW Florida.
