Is it just me or does the new Camaro look like it could be the twin brother to the new Mustang? Is this on purpose and who is trying to look like who?

the 13-15 ls3's and 1le's are underrated anyway. GM kept the 426hp rating and its been proven that these electric power steering, npp exhaust cars dyno in the 380-385rwhp stock range. That's 435-440 bhp. With how aggressive my 1LE looks, I will have a hard time trading up right now. the power difference isn't that big and with the weight saving measures ive taken, the new car only has 100lb weight advantage on me. Ill wait to see what the new ZL1 looks like. If it doesn't have the power to compete, Ill be looking at a 17-18 GT500 or a Hellcat

I have to admit I'm very curious about the 50th anniversary ZL1.

I think that it would fine to wait on the GEN 6, the 1st year jitters of the new model is the turn-off for me. Look at the improvements with GEN 5 during its tenure. Logic would be that Chevy will produce the supercharged ZL1 in the following years. They already spy have spy shots of a ZL1 looking GEN6. So it may carry over like the 1LE from ZL1 in the following years. Just look at all the OEM options that are bolt-ons for GEN 5 that came from the Z28, ZL1, 1LE production. This will most likely be the same with the GEN 6, time will only tell. I would not bet against that upgrades will be available and or the 1LE, ZL1, Z28.

So that being said the 1LE is staying in the garage for a couple of years. Besides the limited productions and overtime the value of these 1LE's will equalize with light mods is going to be the ticket for collectors. Look at the IROCS now and they are starting to peek the interest because of limit numbers and are still in near original form. Price range is 10k to 18k. That price is good compared to others. I would lean to buy the 1989 Indy Trans-AM GTA with the Grand National V-6 turbo if you can find them.

Sorry for the long post..guys. Been kinda of stressful day and this is my form to forget about things and talk about muscle cars of past and present.

Well now that the performance specs have been released.... Is anyone reconsidering? I'm a little on the fence cause 12.3 at 116mph bone stock is absolutely awesome. 11 seconds with drag radials only... However the handling and especially the braking doesn't seem to be on the level of the 1LE.

Most of the 1LE guys aren't concerned with 1/4 mile times, although those numbers are very nice. I think most want to see lap times on the typical road courses.

Like I posted earlier the little brakes and narrow tires I don't like and looking what they said the stopping distances is 117 ft vs 99ft for the 1LE that dose not look good . I would hope the car can stop a hell of lot better than that. The new SS dose better in pulling Gs .97 but the 1LE has done a best of 1.03Gs so to me they still need to come up with a 1LE 6gen . Now for the drag racing guys there good to go right out of the box .

I really like what I have seen posted about the new camaro, but I LOVE my 1le. Especially with what I have done to it. I am too deep into this love affair to back out now!

When the Gen6 1LE or equivalent comes available. I'll consider it. But i really don't think we'l see anything like that till maybe 2017/18. I'm happy with my Gen5, and once I bite the bullet and start modding it. I'm sure I'll be happiererer with it.

Dynamic range isn't everything, neither is ISO performance. There are aspects of the D200 that I like and use, and wouldn't give up for those things. Weather-proofing being a big one, 10MP file sizes (I rarely print above 11x14, so more than 10MP is overkill), spot metering, and cost being a massive one. Since the camera I have does everything I need it to, spending money on another camera makes no sense.

My D200 has served remarkably well, I will keep it till it dies (which might be soon, I'm starting to get some freezes occassionally), at which point I will likely go with a D3 or D4 for the extra cross-type focus sensors (lack of which is the only negative comment I have about the D200 at all).

OP...I would guess that if the SS is faster then the current 1LE, owners will be upgrading!

It's faster but I don't think it can out-corner the gen 5 1LE. They claim it's putting down faster lap times but they don't say on what road courses and based on the specs they gave us I'm sure the lap times are only marginally better due to having the extra power in the straights.

I wonder how much weight the 2SS with MRC and NPP + 8spd auto adds to the 6th gen car?

The 1SS seems to be the best deal though.
