I LEARNED HOW TO DRIVE A MANUAL TODAY!!!

Just like the title says, today I finally REALLY learned how to drive a manual. I had messed around in parking lots before, but today was the road test. My good friend let me take his SRT4 w/ Stage 3 turbo out for a spin. I only stalled once

I am going down to Becky D's dealership on Thursday to test drive the SS! Despite all the headaches my 2LT/RS has brought me, and the horrible experience with GM's Corporate Customer Service....if the SS feels right.... then I might just give GM another chance and order a 2011 2SS/RS.

I couldn't be happier to get over that nervous hurdle. Cant wait to row the gears of a LS3 !!!!

Wink

You are on the right track, as a rule of thumb always practice a stick on a friends car as opposed to your own car.

If you're a man and can't drive a stick, you're man card should be immediately revoked and you're testicles removed from your body. Or shoved back into your stomach.

I've owned a couple of manual transmission cars, my SS/RS has the M6 transmission. To me it's not a true sports car unless it has a manual transmission.

It's funny how easy most guys learn to drive a stick, and women are the total opposite. I let my wife drive my Camaro twice and she didn't get any better shifting after we got back home than she was when she first got in drivers seat.

My first manual was a Jeep Comanche had a 5 speed. I used to race motorcross motorcycles so I knew how to shift them. Learning to shift the Jeep was a breeze once I got used to the pedal stiffness. Man that truck had a super stiff clutch pedal. It was horrible driving that truck in traffic where you are constantly using the clutch.
