BMR 5"intake and heat shielding.

We have just finished our prototype 5" air intake and heat shielding designed to fit the 102mm big throttle body upgrade. We had a test car in here for a bit but unfortunately the client sold the car before we could do a final test fit. If anyone in the Phoenix area is around, we would like to test fit it on your car. We would need your car for 2 to 3 hours. If you want the air intake, we will sell it to you at wholesale, and throw in a dyno run to see where your ride is at. Also, if your thinking of adding the 102mm throttle body, shoot me a PM and I will get you pricing with free install. Lemme know!

Why don't you use your ZL1 for this testing?

We not longer have a ZL1 in the shop. We work on a lot of CTS-Vs. Our intake system has been a huge success with the Vs. Same motor, we just want to make sure we didn't miss anything in the fit and finish area before production.

As soon as it is ready for production, I will post dyno numbers along with product photos.

Quick pic of the prototype intake. It's ready to bolt up, ready to make power!

The final product will be powder coated. Once again, we are looking for a local ZL1 owner to come on by and let us test fit this unit before we go into production. If you would like to keep the intake, we will sell it a sponsorship price and throw in a FREE dyno pull so we can see the before and after gains. Please PM me if you are interested. Here are a few pictures while we were doing the fab work. A cool new coolant reservoir as well. I think both of these will compliment the engine bay nicely! What do you guys think?

Although the tape is a fast easy way to do the install..... I think bolts and brackets are the way to go.

Haha. We love all the criticism. As you can see from the finished prototype the filter is completely covered, blocking the hot air from the engine bay. It will be completely welded for production and also powder coated. Also with the ABS material the intake tube is made from, it does not get heat soaked like aluminum/SS intake material.

Yes the fab pictures were a repost. Just wanted to give any new viewers an idea of where both fit in the car for the new subscribers. We think the tape holds up pretty well. Easily replaceable. Obviously the tank will be bolt in.

I think we have someone locked down for a final test fit!

It's also blocking half the surface area of the filter making that area basically useless.
