Small inconvenience to do the 3 second toggle thru gears when put into drive each time....other than that, AWESOME TRUCK! Ride is incredible, very solid, quiet cabin, very nice interior. Was debating between this and a new F 150 STX, since I was always partial to Ford trucks (3 in our family over years) Ride not near as good in the Ford, and when shutting doors, felt very tiny, and interior very plain-jane. Very happy with the Ram. (ok, one other small nit-pick-On regular cab model like mine, they put SIRIUS antennae on leading edge of roof, driver side, instead of rear-ward, centered.....Since moving it isn't a viable option, I got ahold of salvaged 2nd antennae on ebay, took the electronics out, and will (3M tape) underside of outer shell on other side of cab roof next spring, so atleast it looks balanced-Twin Satellite..lol
Nice truck!

I had a 2005 in this same configuration...V8 4x4 sport package. I loved that truck and babied it like I do my Camaro now. It was in perfect shape and beautiful. When the Camaro came out I couldn't resist that and I sold that thing....I hated to watch it drive away.

I have never seen death wobble on an unmodified truck or on a modified truck that could not be fixed - life of having a straight axled truck. Much better than nose diving with the GMs on the trail. Lift kit only replaced the worn part on the other truck think about it - your friends need to be more aware of the vehicles they buy so they do not waste a lot of money.

I had a 2008 Ram. It was a bit under powered, but I had no problems out of it.

Thanks! Very sharp looking truck you had as well! The regular cab Hemi's are like the perfect compromise between muscle car and truck.

Well I'm glad I found this thread. I will be taking over my fathers 2010 Dodge Ram 1500 Laramie edition 4x4 Quad cab next week. It's got the Hemi engine and all the bells and whistles I can possibly imagine. I've owned nothing but Fords and this is my first dodge.

My 04 Ram Hemi was great. Ran and towed strong. Sounded great too but loved to drink gas.
Had issues starting around 100k. Alternator, window motor work intermittently, heater blender door busted, etc. just something every few months..
Wish I hasn't traded in when I got my Camaro.

I had 113k on my 04 hemi when I sold it without one issue at all besides the common BCM headlight thing.

5.7. I had it for 3 years and was the only owner. Didn't have any problems for the 40k miles I put on it. I keep hearing Dodge is junk, but had a good experience. Just like I am with my Camaro.

First person ever to say the hemi in the rams is under powered. Especially in 2008
