Borla Catback Recall

Has anybody heard of a recall on Borla catback exhaust with AFM valves?

Yes. It is not a safety issue. It is an issue with the first batch had a problem that may cause it to sound a bit odd. Mine will be here this week. Borla handled it wonderfully. They contacted me immediately.

The street legal x pipe. (paired with the ATAK NPP)

Did they mention any problems with the valves?

The problem is the valves. The first batch had the incorrect valves installed. Call them, they can explain it. Not a npp valve issue. Only the afm valves.

Ok cool I talked them last week and the guy said it was problems with the valves that's why my car threw a CEL. He's sending me a replacement

I got a new system via fedex. However, it says it was built at the same time as the last one. Also the valves do not have a hole in them. So they look no different than the first ones. I am getting a bit annoyed. I sent an email. Hoping to get some info. Don't want an expensive exhaust that sounds funny.

I have the system on my car but it makes a humming sound at times and it threw a CEL and the person I spoke with at Borla said the AFM valves are turned to the wrong position so he's having them build me a new X-pipe.

I think Borla should follow Stainless Works and do a AFM VALVE DELETE

I hope that's not right! If those valves closed and there's no where for the exhaust to go, that could jack up your engine
